Gloucestershire Constabulary is currently seeking qualifed Authorised Firearms Offcers (AFO).

Within Gloucestershire, the opportunities are either within our Royal Household Protection Group (RHPG) who provide 24/7 armed support (both in static and mobile formats) to the Royal Houses within Gloucestershire or within our Armed Response Unit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both newly qualifed and experienced AFOs alike to be part of a specialist team of  offcers and staff who carry out a criticallyimportant operational role.

To undertake this role you must be fully operationallydeployable, a licensed AFO (trained to ARV standard)and able to work the entire range of shifts over the required pattern.

A relocation allowance will be available for successful applicants for this post who meet the criteria.

Offcers serving with the Ministry of Defence or another non Home Offce Forces such as RoyalParks, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Ports of Dover, Liverpool and Bristol which are not classed as police forces under the Police Act 1996, are unfortunately not eligible to apply to transfer.
