The annual Police Firearms Officers Association summer ball took place last weekend In Milton Keynes with over three hundred guests attending.
The event is well supported by the policing family with the Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire, Craig Guildford attending along with the NPCC lead for Armed Policing, DCC Simon Chesterman also PFEW lead on Armed Policing Che Donald.
In line with PFOA ball tradition a DVD was played paying tribute to members who have passed away over the last year as well as celebrating the amazing work the PFOA members do on a day to day basis, protecting all of us.
The past year has seen the PFOA grow considerably in size and each year the support and assistance provided to members and their families increases. An auction and raffle took place with an amazing £12,460 being raised which will help towards providing support to our members.
PFOA coaches & staff were presented with Metropolitan Police Federation coins for their support and assistance they have given to officers following the recent London terror attacks.
Thanks must go to Debbie Williams and Cheryl Smith for their hard work in organising this year’s ball
