Update!
17th June 2011
Its been a very busy few weeks for the Association. We have provided several officers and their families support in various ways including counselling, respite breaks and Paradigmatic Coaching. We are making a real impact on assisting officers and getting them back to work, and their family lives back on track. We have had a very nice letter from ACC Sue Harrison, Essex Police, thanking the PFOA for supporting an Essex officer and his partner.
In July we will have our first co-ordinator training day for our Southern Region. We will be holding two other days for our Midlands/Wales and Northern Region co-ordinators. Thanks must go out to not only all our co-ordinators for the work they do, but to the forces who are allowing officers to attend in duty time.
We have entered the 21st Century! and thanks to our Gwent Police co-ordinator explaining how Twitter works and the benefits we now have a Twitter address, pfoa_uk, where apparently you can follow us if we let you!! (I think thats how it works!)
We have moved office! well from the upstairs of the garage to the downstairs..but its a lot bigger. As we increase in numbers so does the admin.

The new office!
I have recently done an interview for Police Oracle. They have been very supportive of the work we do and will be writing some articles on the Association in the future.
Many thanks for your continued support, and friendship. Thank you for the work you do, as I write there is a news alert on Sky stating armed police are attending a Leicestershire Hospital where it is believed there is a suspect with a gun... the public and our unarmed colleagues need you!
